Class: Figure drawing is one of the foundation skills for all artists and there is nothing better to learn from than drawing from life. In this class you will be given very personalized critiques and assignments geared towards improving your drawings so that you can reach your artistic goals, whatever they may be! The instructor will actively work with you to help your drawings improve on site as well as give demos to illustrate various concepts.

We will begin with careful study of proportion and gesture of the figure, applying the understanding of simple shapes along the way in order to create structure within our figures. Once these simple shapes are understood, we will learn some surface anatomy to give greater depth to our drawings.

In this way, you will not only learn to accurately represent the model, but you will be given the tools to memorize information and in time create unique drawings from your imagination.
